This year’s Flu and Covid Autumn Vaccination Campaign will start on 1st October. We will be holding our popular vaccination clinics once again at Wey Valley School on:

Invitations will be sent to eligible patients via SMS, Email, with a link to book your appointment or by phone call or letter.
Our clinics are very popular so make sure you book your appointment when you receive your invitation.
Please note due to the large number of patients that are eligible, invitations will be sent out over a few days, so you may get your invitation at a different time to your partner or neighbour.
If you are housebound, please contact the surgery so we can add you to the list for a home visit.

Practice Information
Did you know Weymouth Bay Medical Practice has 26,600 registered patients?
On an average day across the Practice, we provide:
- 334 GP Appointments
- 103 Nurse Appointments
- 63 Blood Test Appointments
- 700 Prescriptions processed
- 300 Letters received, coded and scanned to patients’ records
- 500 Telephone calls received
We have a fantastic team here at the Practice all working together to provide you with the best service possible. Please try to help the Practice where possible, by using online services, to book appointments, request medication and view test results. This will help free the phone lines for patients or clinicians who may have more complex queries.
We would also like to thank the many kind-hearted patients who bring us treats, such as home baked cakes, that help keep us going. They are all very much appreciated. Thank you!

Long Term Condition Annual Reviews from April 2025
The Practice has implemented a new process for inviting patients for their annual review. This may cause an over-lap for a few patients meaning they are called in sooner this year than normal.
We ask that you please come in for your review when you receive your invitation to do so. Please be reassured that you will not be invited again for another year once you have attended, and that your yearly recall month will continue the same for the following years.
Thank you

Patient Participation Group (PPG)
Joining the PPG gives patients the opportunity to provide feedback to the practice representing the views of patients, get involved in practice projects and events and helps patients understand the challenges in general practice.
If you are interested in joining our PPG, ask at reception, or complete a PPG sign up form from our website.
Repeat Prescriptions
Please order your medication in good time to ensure you do not run out.
The Surgery requires two working days (48 hours) to process your prescription, the pharmacy then need time to process it. We recommend ordering your medication a week (7 days) before you need to collect it.
You can, usually order your prescriptions up to 2 weeks ahead of when they are due. In exceptional circumstances, this period can be extended if you are going on holiday for example, just let us know the reason why.
You can check online to see whether your prescription has been processed and is ready for you to collect from your nominated pharmacy.
There are various ways to order your repeat prescription but please do not phone the surgery to order medication as our reception team are not authorised to take requests for medication over the phone as this can lead to errors.
The quickest and easiest way to order your repeat prescription is online using either the NHS App, Systmonline or with the Airmid App. If you do not wish to order electronically, you can hand in at reception or post your repeat prescription slip in at the Practice.
The local pharmacies have now stopped requesting medication for patients, so please ensure you are signed up to online services so you can request your medication in time for when you need it.
Our reception team will be happy to help set you up to use online services. For further information regarding our prescription process, or online services available please see the prescription page on our website.
The Prescription Process
- You submit your prescription request: You can do this via your online services, or by dropping your prescription repeat slip at the surgery
